LAST DAY OF SCHOOL

Skolaslit_72pt.jpeg

A horribly fun book!

It’s October 31st. Halloween. The school’s walls are covered with decorations intended to scare and send a shiver down your spine. In the distance an unearthly howl can be heard. There’s half of a PE teacher on the floor and from around the corner comes the sound of a limping horde of zombies. What on earth is happening? And how are the kids who haven’t already become monsters going to escape?

Last Day of School is a horror story that readers won’t be able to put down. The story was originally in the format of a scary Halloween calendar that Icelandic children of all ages devoured, but now appears in book form – longer and more horrific than before – with illustrations by Ari H.G. Yates. The Last Day of School project received the IBBY Spring Award, the Reykjanesbær Education Committee’s Encouragement Award and was nominated for the Parents’s Award of the Home & School Movement.

"Highly recommended for those who want to try some suspense, fear, courage and zombie fights." Brynhildur Björnsdóttir, Fréttablaðið

"We have loads of fun while reading the book, and then we go to sleep, keeping the light turned on.“ Katrín Lilja, Lestrarklefinn
